KRAGENS was born at the end of 2000 in Nice. Founded by Cédric Sellier (Strutters, Thorium) and Ludwig Laperche, the two guitarists of the band, joined later by Renaud Espeche (Demon eyes, Lynx), the musical identity of the band was quickly affirmed: effective and powerful heavy metal pieces, slightly tinted trash, supported by melodic or hard core vocals and virtuoso choruses. Their style was reinforced by the arrival of Olivier Gavelle on drums (Ace, Dirty Side, Tribal, Slam) and Denis Malek on bass (Lynx, Carolyn Monroe). In live, several concerts at the Tapas, the Papparazi or the Onyx, their victory in the springboard of the Niel's, confirmed the group as hope of the Nice metal scene. This dynamics decided the group to record a CD of four titles, concretizing their value. The reception of the media to this CD is excellent, the reviews in Hard Rock Mag, Hard'n'Heavy and Metallian place the band as a French hope. Fanzines and Webzines are not left out either and 64 radios have playlisted extracts.

The year 2003 announces the release of the first album DYING IN A DESERT signed in license on the label Thundering Record followed by numerous concerts through France.
The year 2005 announces the release of the fabulous album SEEDS OF PAIN Thundering Record for France and Locomotive Record for the rest of the world.
This album was very well received by the French and foreign press and was always followed by concert dates on our territory and especially in Europe...
A third album was released in 2007 IN FIGHT + live DVD shot at the Killers Fest which is now the Chaulnes Metal Fest
released on the Locomotive Record label and a tour of several dates with Freedom Call/Nightmare/Hydrogin.

After 10 years of silence the band is making a come back for the year 2019 with a new track that will be online soon...
