Since when do you evolve in music?

Carole :
I have always sung but I have been playing in a band for about 15 years now. I started with a Pop Rock band, then moved on to a Jazz Blues band before creating my own Blues band. It's been nine years now that this band is working, it allowed me to blossom in a musical style that fits perfectly with my voice and that is in total adequacy with my musical influences. I am lucky enough to share this passion with my husband Jeff Rebsamen who is also my guitarist. For four years we have been composing our own Blues and it has been a fabulous experience. We have been working on our second album for a few weeks now.

What are your musical influences?

Carole :
My musical influences come primarily from black American music that I discovered at a very young age because my father was a music lover and artists from Motown and Stax Records. But not only... He used to take me every Saturday to a record shop in front of the train station in Cannes and we used to spend an hour or two with headphones on to discover new releases, American and English imports. Then at 13 years old I found myself with a Rod Stewart album in my ears... it was a revelation. I went back to the source to the Faces, I listened to everything, then I discovered the Rolling Stones, Genesis, Pink Floyd... My influences come from Blues, Soul, but also from Rock.

Which song fits you best?

Carole :

In the covers maybe " I'd rather go blind " by Etta James

In the compositions it will be "My name is George Stinney" which is particularly dear to my heart and every time I sing it I am overwhelmed with emotions.
