Since when do you evolve in music?
Fab :
Besides my flute lessons in 6th grade you mean... ? :)
I started to play guitar around 13-14 years old with a few friends to start a band and make like on TV. Being left-handed, I didn't have a guitar "in the right direction" at the beginning so I played on my friend's right-handed guitar and so I could only play the first 3 notes of Smoke on the water ! But when I plugged this thing in an amp with a small disto... The revelation ! I never got over it and I told myself that I was going to like this thing... It's been 25 years and since then there's always a guitar not too far from me.
I've been in a lot of pop-rock cover bands playing in pubs in the area. After that I gave up a bit because of my studies and I quickly got back into it during my engineering school in Marseille. I found some friends who were Metallica fans so we started a band that played... only Metallica ! We didn't even know that it was called a tribute at the time and that it would be fashionable 10 years later.
Then I started an acoustic pop-rock cover band with a cajon and a violin. It was very nice and it was going well.
Then came a more studious phase where I took up guitar lessons in order to understand a little what I was doing... it allowed me to touch jazz and to open myself to other horizons.
And since 3 years I make noise with my friends of Fragdog where we mix rock, metal, funk and electro with Shaka Ponk, and we have a good time !

What are your musical influences?
Fab :
I have a big rock base of course. I listened to a lot of metal too, more or less hardcore depending on the times and my mood.
Digging deeper, my father also listened to French and Italian classics and blues so it's obviously part of me too.

Have you already recorded an album or an EP?
Fab :
Unfortunately not. I never took the time to sit down and compose. But it's still something I'm into for the future, who knows...
RdvROCK
Which song fits you best?
Fab :
Difficult question, there are so many ! Without thinking too much I would say Sweet Child o'mine of Guns which is for me a reference so much on the solos, the musicality and the melody.

Which artist would you like to share the stage with?
Fab :
From my previous answer you can guess... Slaaaaaash !!! But I wouldn't mind playing with James Hetfield in front of a whole stadium of 80,000 people or Gary Moore (but with him it's going to be a bit more complicated). And finally, playing a song with Shaka Ponk's buddies on stage would be pure madness too !!! (Frah, Sam, CC, Steve, Mandris, Ion if you read me... ;))

What are your other passions or interests besides music?
Fab :
I have a lot... and not much time to do it all!
Spending time with my family in priority of course which is my reason for living. My wife and my children whom I love more than anything.
Then I am a fan of the mountains. In my younger years I was into canyoning, climbing, snowboarding, mountaineering,... Nowadays I go back to the mountains as soon as possible and I make my children discover them. I still mountain bike regularly.
And even if it's not very rock n' roll, I have to admit... I love to play golf with my friends !
I also love photography but I lack time.

If you could only keep 3 albums among all the ones you own, which ones would you keep?
Fab :
Ouch... not easy either. On the fly:
- Appetite for Destruction - GN'R
- My own prison - Creed
- Still got the blue - Gary Moore
Don't ask me why... in 5 minutes I'll have changed my mind !
