Since when do you evolve in music?
Zanalee :
I started playing bass when I was about 15 years old, and I switched to guitar and vocals a little over 6 years ago when I fell very strongly into Prince's discography. I started with a power trio in the bars of Old Nice called Blame Game (kiss to Raph and Joco), with whom we worked on my compositions and that led us to win the Emergenza springboard of Nice. I had another cover band after that, The Skinny Fat Boyz (kisses to Julio and Maumaurizio), and today I gathered some very good musicians from the area (kisses to Luca, Camille and Raph) to be able to defend my compositions on stage under the name Zannalee.
Otherwise you can find me frequently in bars and restaurants of the region in acoustic in solo or duo.

What are your musical influences?
Zanalee :
My biggest influence is Prince, by far. But I grew up before discovering him with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, Metallica, Pantera (Yes, it doesn't look like it but I'm a Pantera fan), etc...

Have you already recorded an album or an EP?

A little E.P. available on all platforms called The Great Dive, recorded in my apartment during the confinement. But another one will be released soon, recorded at Cox In Hell a while ago but it's gonna happen eventually!

Zanalee :
A jam with RHCP or Prince (RIP) or Vulfpeck or ... There are so many !

What are your other passions or interests besides music?
Zanalee :
Biology, neuroscience and science in general. I particularly like to participate in conferences for the general public and to share a little bit of knowledge, especially towards the youngest, it's very important!
Otherwise I like to drink and eat...

1. Sign O' The Times (Super Deluxe) by Prince.
