Riff Tonic at the Altherax, October 17, 2020

A fusion of styles, an energetic tempo and emotion in this live show

Riff Tonic
During this live, Riff Tonic offered us its 7 compositions, that is to say the 5 songs of the last EP, Andromeda, released in early 2020 and the 2 tracks of its single, as well as 5 covers. Formed in 2017, the Côte d'Azur combo is composed of Vincent on vocals, Ines on bass, Pascal on drums and Fred on guitar, who joined the line-up very recently, since the departure of Dorian.

Riff Tonic started the live with an introduction that shows the experimental game of the band and continues in the wake with Resilience, the 1st track of Andromeda. A powerful entry in the universe of Riff Tonic where space rock and alternative rock are mixed. A flight electrified by the arrangements of the guitar and the electro, supported by a rhythmic impelling its energetic tempo, with tonic sounds in the drums, served by Pascal, very in form. Vincent seems inhabited by music. He delivers melodies full of emotions. It emerges from it puffs of fury.

The challenge posed by the difficult replacement of Dorian, whose level on guitar was undeniable, was met. Fred played the set, even though he has only been with the band for a month. A successful challenge for him, and for the rest of the band, which thanks to this integration, can hope to continue its great momentum.

Fusing various genres: metal, trip hop, electro, alternative rock, Riff Tonic has created its musical identity and does not intend to stop there. This live will conclude with Alone, the last opus of Andromeda, with a sharp rhythmic, very dark, evoking the loneliness in which the virtual world and the consumer society plunge us ineluctably. Let them reassure themselves, they are not alone, for proof the support of the public.
