Backstrokers is a neo metal/alternative band based in Marseille, born in late 2019 from the desire of 4 experienced
experienced musicians to dive back into the late 90s/early 2000s sounds that made their
their first musical loves. With influences such as Deftones, Korn, Incubus, Limp Bizkit,
Slipknot, P.O.D., the band offers direct and catchy songs, with effective riffs and choruses, and a balance between sensitivity and
and a balance between sensitivity and cathartic aggressiveness.
Due to the coronavirus crisis, the project could only play half a dozen concerts in
2020/2021, however the musicians are all experienced:
- Laurent, a drummer for 20 years, played in Crushing Blow, Style Trip and Forgin Fate and was asleep
Drumcraft.
- Julien, guitarist and bassist for 15 years, played in Eden Scars, Shadow Broker and Forodhrim.
- Clément, guitarist and bassist for 15 years, played in Forodhrim.
- Karim, singer for 10 years, has played in Shadow Broker, and also plays in Blooming
Discord and Sunbeam Overdrive.
